First Trimester Tips


Pregnancy:

Happiness,Responsibilities,Surprises,Problems....many feelings at a same time,when you come to know that you're pregnant.Pregnancy is not a sickness, it is good to follow few simple rules during the early stage of pregnancy.



  1. During the first trimester - weeks 1-12, U may have nausea, stress,tiredness,frequency of urination,constipation,bleeding gums etc.

  2. These are special months - go to your health visitor regularly

  3. Quit smoking if u do,because it might cause problems like early birth,stops nourishment of your baby,even fetal death.

  4. Quit drinking alcohol too,it may also cause serious problems.

  5. Take 400 micrograms of Folic acid that helps to prevent neural tube defects.

  6. Take 30 milligrams of iron during pregnancy.

  7. Get needed vaccination before pregnancy.

  8. Excessive high heat is harmful during pregnancy. Avoid hot tubs ,sauna and steam room.

  9. Practising yoga,walking -light to moderate exercises are helpful for pregnant woman.

  10. Eating five or six small meals may make you feel better.

  11. Help bleeding gums by brushing with a soft brush and flossing daily.

  12. To avoid constipation,try to eat fresh fruits,fibre vegetables,wholegrain breadsor cereals. Drink eight to ten glasses of water.

  13. Avoid drinking coffee,tea and some other sodas.

  14. To avoid dizziness,try to lie down on your left side.Don't sit or stand in one position for a long time,move around.
